Abstract
Objective: To develop a quantitative method for quality control of the Puguosuan capsules. Methods: The content of capsules was extracted by ultrasonic wave and determined by HPLC. Results: The linear range was 0.14 μg to 0.70 μg (r=0.999 3, n=5) and the average recovery was 101.49% with the RSD 1.25% (n=9). The average content of oleanolic acid in capsule was 8.780% with the RSD 1.50% (n=3). Conclusion: The HPLC method is accurate and suitable for the analysis of oleanolic acid in this preparation.
