The Research of the Expression and Significance of YKL-40 in Articular Cartilage of Osteoarthritis

Objective: To investigate the expression and significance of YKL-40 in articular cartilage of osteoarihritis.Method: Immunohistochemistry elivision plus was used to detect the expression of YKL-40 proteins in articular cartilage in 32 cases.Result: The positive expression of YKL-40 protein in osteoarthritic chondrocytes was higher than that in normal chondrocytes(P0.05).Conclusion: There is a consanguineous correlation between degrees of the expression of YKL-40 and chondrocytes apoptosis in osteoarthritic articular cartilage.It demonstrates that the abnormal expression of YKL-40 is closely related to the biological behaveior of OA such as occurrence and progress.
