Development of Polo in Song Dynasty:Study of Complete Collection of Song Poetry

Tang and Song dynasties are two most significant periods in Chinese polo history,and the Song period cannot be treated as a decline time,although the sport indeed declined gradually after this dynasty.Thus modern Chinese polo spread to the west countries.But from the explanation of Complete Collection of Song Poetry,Polo of Song had progressed in many items compared with the former period.The reasons are not only social and historic but also logical ones.Chinese polo withered away during the second half of 17th century with its specific factors,as well as historical and cultural reasons.
