Abstract

Objective: To compare the effect and side effect of propafenone and verapamil on paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia(PSVT).Method: 48 cases with PSVT in emergency department were divided into propafenone and verapamil goup randomly.In propafenone group took 70mg～140mg propafenone intravenous injection.In verapamil group were given 5mg～10mg verapamil.Result: There's no stastically significance(P0.05) on PSVT by propafenone and verapamil.The side effect is superior to propafenone.Conclusion: Propafenone is the first choice for the therapy of PSVT.when we select verapamol,we should pay attention to the side effect.
