Abstract
Objective To compare the effects of propafenone and verapamil in stopping paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia(PSVT). Methods 86 patients with PSVT were injected propafenone or verapamil randomly, recorded and analyzed the effective recovery rate and the time of conversion to normal sinusrhythm. Results The recovery rate of propafenone group was lower than verapamil group, the conversion time of propafenone group was longer than verapamil group, there was significant difference between two groups(P0.05). Conclusion Verapamil is more effective drug in stopping paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia.
