Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical significane of endovascular embolization in acute stage of ruptured anterior communicating artery aneurysm. Methods In 21 patients, GDC were used to embolize the ruptured anterior communicating artery aneurysm via endovascular approach during acute stage. 15 patients were followed-up for 6 months. Mortality, rebleeding rate and recovery state were observed. Results 21 cases were embolized with GDC successfully. 80.95% of the patients (17/21) achieved more than 95% occlusion. One patient rebled on the third day after embolization and died finally. Conclusion Emergent endovascular embolization in ruptured anterior communicating artery aneurysm can reduce the mortality and rebleeding rate of aneurysm.
