Abstract

Objective:To study the activity and clinical significance of IL-8 in patients with esophageal carcinoma.Method:The peripheral blood IL-8 level of 34 patients with esophageal carcinoma were measured by Enzyme Linked Inuno Sorbenot Assay(ELISA).Result:The level of IL-8 in the peripheral blood was significantly higher than the normal control group ( P 0.01),and was relative to the clinical staging.Conclusion:IL-8 may not only reflect the immune state of the malignant tumors,but also serve as a indicator in the supplementary diagnosis and monitoring the condition of the malignant tumors.
