Abstract

Objective:To explore the protective effect of Jiaweibiejiajian Pill(JWBJ) on hepatic fibrosis of rats induced by Carbon Tetrachloride(CCl_4).Method:Rats model with hepatic fibrosis was induced by the multiple subcutaneous injections of 40% CCl_4,3 mL/kg,twice a week for 6 weeks.When hepatic fibrosis was verified to come into being by pathological examination,the rats were divided into different groups.JWBJ was administrated orally for 8 weeks.Then all rats were sacrificed and their liver were taken out and the pathological sections were stained by HE and Masson.The pathological change,the content of hepatic collagen and hepatic plastin of lives were observed.Result:Compared with model group rats,the number of lipoid vacuolation in liver tissue,collagen fibers deposition,Pseudolobuli and fibroblast hyperplasia,the degree of inflammatory cell filtration,degeneration and necrosis in liver tissue were decreased and alleviated obviously in rats of mediate-dose group and high-dose group of JWBJ.Conclusion:JWBJ showed the protective function for hepatic fibrosis and could alleviate the degree of degeneration and necrosis induced by CCl_4.
