Study on diagnostic significance of serum cystatin C in detection of early renal impairment in chemotherapy of patients with cancer

Objective To study the clinical significance of serum cystatin C(Cystatin C,CysC) in detection of early renal impairment during chemotherapy of patients with cancer chemotherapy.Metheds Serum cystatin(CysC) and creatinine were examined in 96 patients with various degree of renal impairment during chemotherapy were compared and statistically analyzed with those of 56 healthy persons(control group).The glomerular filtration rate and serum CysC were examined iin observation group,and they were compared with those of controls.Results There was significant difference in glomerular filtration rate(GFR) and serum CysC(P 0.05) between observation group and control group;renal function was mildly impaired group,renal insufficiency and tumors of the renal function in the normal group was significant difference(P 0.05);Cr tumor with normal renal function group compared with the control group had no statistical difference(P 0.05),renal function was mildly impaired group and normal renal function group,no significant difference(P 0.05);CysC(r =-0.835,P 0.001),Cr(r =-0.642,P 0.001) and GFR were negatively correlated;methodological evaluation CysC indicators(sensitivity,specificity,correct diagnosis index,coincidence rate,Negative(positive) predictive value) is superior to that of Cr.Conclusion The CysC monitoring of cancer chemotherapy in patients with early renal injury more useful.
