Abstract

The actual development situation of fuel ethanol is reviewed,and the importances of fuel ethanol production from lignocellulose for sustainable development in China are elaborated simultaneously.According to the characters of the lignocellulose biomass,the research progresses of the pretreatment technology are summarized.The future development tendency of pretreatment and utilization of lignocellulose is also previewed.
