Abstract
Objective To explore the activity of the superoxide dismutase(SOD)of pure Carassius auratus red variety when it was exposed to cadmium Chloride.Methods Twenty-eight Carassius auratus red variety were randomly and averagely divided into 4 groups.The groups were randomly exposured in different concentrations of cadmium(CdCl2·2.5H2O) with 0 mg/L,0.2 mg/L,0.8 mg/L,1.6 mg/L for 30 days.The total superoxide dismutase(T-SOD) activities in gill and liver tissues were detected.Results CdCl2 increased the T-SOD activity of liver tissue in low-dose group,T-SOD activity of liver tissue was significantly higher than normal control group(P0.05).In middle-dose and high-dose group,T-SOD activity of liver tissue was significantly inhibited than normal control group(P0.05 or P0.01);T-SOD activity in liver tissue was higher than in gill tissue(P0.01).Conclusion Cadmium can conspicuously cause superoxide dismutase activityinhibited in liver tissue of Carassius auratus red variety.
