Abstract
Objective To explore the effects of cadmium chloride on lipid peroxidation in Carassius Auratus red variety.Methods Twenty-eight Carassius Auratus red variety were randomly divided into control group and high (1.6 mg/L),moderate (0.8 mg/L),low (0.2 mg/L) dose cadmium exposure groups.The exposed groups were treated with cadmium chloride for 30 consecutive days.The total superoxide dismutase (T-SOD) activities in gill and liver tissues and the levels of malondialdehyde (MDA),total antioxidant capacity (T-AOC) in liver tissues of Carassius Auratus red variety were detected.Results As cadmium exposure increasing,the activities of T-SOD in the liver and gill tissue of Carassius Auratus red variety increased at first,then getting down.As cadmium exposure increasing,the levels of T-AOC in liver tissue were all increased at first,and then getting down.At the same dose group,the activity of T-SOD in gill was significantly lower than that in the liver tissue.Conclusion Cadmium can cause lipid peroxidation damage in Carassius Auratus red variety.
