Abstract

Objective To explore the cause and the treatment effecti for infant acute dacryocystitis. Methods 38 cases(38 eyes)with infant acute dacryocystitis were treated with irrigation and probing of lacrimal passage after systemic anti-infection.The effectiveness of treatment was observed. Results 37 patients(37 eyes)were cured after irrigation and probing of lacrimal passage. The cure rate was 97.4%. Conclusions Irrigation and probing of lacrimal passage after systemic anti-infection is simple and effective method to treat infant acute dacryocystitis.
