Abstract

Objective To observe the therapeutic efficacy of irrigation and probing in treating infant daczyocystitis. Methods 38 cases (44 eyes) of infant dacryocystitis were treated using irrigation arid probing of lacrimal passage from July 1996 to Dec. 1999. Patients were followed up for more than 6 months. Results 43 eves were recovered to functional ability. The cure rate is 97.73% .Conclusion Irrigation and probing of lacrimal passage is a simple, safe, effective and lower complication method to treat infant dacrvocystitis.
