Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effect of anterior chamber intraocular lens implantation for high myopia. Methods A consecutive group of 110 eyes in 57 patients with -8.00 to -23.00 diopters of myopia were implanted.110 eyes were checked with uncorrected visual acuity, corrected visual acuity, intraocular pressure(IOP),corneal endothelial cells and have been followed-up for 12 months. Results All of 110 eyes were implanted successfully. The uncorrected visual acuity were 0.01 to 0.1 preoperative, and 82.3% beyond 0.3,33.64% beyond 0.6 postoperative;IOP were (13.54±0.64)mmHg preoperative and (14.23±0.79)mmHg postoperative;counts of endothelial cells were (3108±197)cell/mm 2 preoperative and (2877±201)cell/mm 2 postoperative. There was no significant difference. Conclusions The implantation of phakic anterior chamber IOL for high myopia is effective, securely and predictable.
