Abstract
Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of improved trabeculectomy on glaucoma. Methods 29 cases (35 eyes) of glaucoma underwent improved trabeculectomy was in observed group and 31 cases (37 eyes) underwent trabeculectomy as control group. The postoperative intraocular pressure ,filtration bleb and the depth of anterior chamber were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence rate of shallow anterior chamber in observed group was lower than that in the control group. Six months later, the functional filtering blebs in observed group were more than that in the control group. Conclusion The application of improved trabeculectomy in glaucoma may improve the success rate and reduce the complications.
