Clinical observation of compound trabeculectomy in glaucoma

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of compound trabeculectomy on glaucoma.Methods Totally 40 cases(40eyes) of glaucoma underwent compound trabeculectomy was in observed group and 37 cases(37eyes) underwent trabeculectomy as control group.The postoperative intraocular pressure,filtration bleb and the depth of anterior chamber were compared between the two groups.Results The incidence rate of shallow anterior chamber in observed group was lower than that in the control group.Three months later,the functional filtering blebs in observed group were more than that in the control group,No serious complications were found.Conclusions The application of compound trabeculectomy in glaucoma may improve the success rate and reduce the complications.
