Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of taurine on myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury in rats.Methods A rat model of myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury was established by occlusion of left anterior descending coronary artery,then reperfused.The activity of SOD,LDH,MDA and the levels of TNF-α in serum or myocardium of rats with myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury were determined.Results Compared with sham,levels of LDH,MDA,TNF-α in serum and TNF-α in myocardium in other groups were significantly increased,SOD activity was significantly decreased(P0.05,P0.01).Compared with model group,levels of LDH,MDA,TNF-α in serum and TNF-α in myocardium in taurine 300,100,30 mg·kg-1 group were significantly decreased,SOD activity was significantly increased(P0.05,P0.01).Conclusion Taurine has potential protective effects on myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury in rats.
