On the Culture of Mother Dragon of Daming Mountains and the Worship of Water God for the Ethnic Groups of South China

The nature of the culture of Mother Dragon is the worship of water god.Chronologically,the worship of water god for the ethnic groups in South China can be divided into such three periods as the totemism of pan-water god,the worship of Mother Dragon and the worship of Mazu,with their common original worship from Tu'e,a water god believed by Guyue people,the ancestors of the Zhuang Nationality.The culture of Mother Dragon of Daming Mountains in Guangxi is characterized by its strikingly primitive and ecological worship to water god,and becomes an important resource and central region of the culture of Mother Dragon in South China due to the mixture of mountain god and water god and the unity of ecological beauty and moral beauty.It is actually a cultural phenomenon of the folk worship formed by several factors such as the natural ecological environment of Daming Mountains,the worship of the Zhuang Nationality's ancestors,the culture of rice farming and the aesthetic consciousness of ecology.
