Abstract

Objective: To investigate the incidence, characteristics of Post- stroke Depression( PSD) and the efficiency of treatment with Dutoxetine. Methods: Statistical analysis of 58 outpatients and inpatients diagnosed as PSD from March 2010 to December 2012 was taken. 58 patients were randomly divided into treatment group( Dutoxetine group) and control group( Amitriptyline group) while they were accepting routine treatment. Results: The incidence rate of PSD was 42. 6%,and it was not associated with the types and nidus of stroke. Both of the two groups acted rapidly, and more significant difference was shown in the HAMD scores after 1,2,4,8 weeks than that before. No statistical significance( P 0. 05) was found in the HAMD scores of two groups, but statistical significance was found in the two groups' adverse effect Tess scores( P 0. 05). Conclusions: PSD is a common complication of stroke. The prevention and therapy should be paid more attention to. Dutoxetine deserves to be further promoted because of its safety and efficiency in PSD treatment.
