The Clinical Efficacy of Acarbose with Metformin in the Treatment of Type 2 Diabetes

Objective:To explore the clinical effect of acarbose and metformin in patients with type 2 diabetes.Methods:Admitted to our hospital from February 2010 to December 2011,98 cases of patients with type 2 diabetes were randomly divided into control group and the observation group,49 cases in each group.The control group were treated with metformin,the observation group was treated with the combination therapy of metformin and acarbose,patients received 12 weeks of treatment.The two groups of patients after treatment,fasting blood glucose,postprandial 2 h blood sugar for review,the two groups were compared treatment effects.Results:After treatment,blood glucose difference was statistically significant(P0.05).The control group and the observation group treatment efficiency of 81.64%,95.92%,and the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P0.05).The two groups of patients during treatment no serious adverse reactions,the difference was not statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion:The effect of acarbose with metformin for the treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes significantly,is safe and effective,it is worth the widespread promotion and use in clinical.
