Abstract
Objective To study the efficacy and side effects of acarbose and metformin in treating type 2 diabetes so as to provide a reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods 88 cases with type 2 diabetes were randomly divided into A group and B group. A group was treated with acarbose, B group was treated with metformin. And the efficacy and side effects of drugs of the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results The difference in FBG and 2h PBG and HbA1 c of the two groups after treatment and before treatment was significant, and the difference in FBG and 2h PBG between the two groups was also significant(P0.01);but there was no significant difference in fasting insulin and 2h postprandial insulin level of two groups before treatment and after treatment(P0.05); the difference in the incidence of side effects of drugs between the two groups was not statistically significant(P 0.05). Conclusion Both acarbose and metformin in the treatment of type 2 diabetes can achieve relatively good effect, and which can be promoted and applied.
