Application of sequential colon dialysis in the acute hyperuricemia

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effect of sequential colon dialysis on the serum level of urea(UA) in acute hyperuricemia patients.Methods 156 patients with acute hyperuricemia were divided into three groups according to the serum level of urea and treated with sequential colon dialysis.The serum level of UA,K~+,Na~+,Cl~-,Ca~(2+) were measured pre-treatment and post-treatment.Results The serum level of UA decreased significantly,and there were no significant changes in the level of K~+,Na~+,Cl~-,Ca~(2+) and weight.Conclusions Sequential colon dialysis could decrease the serum level of UA effectively and the complication of acute hyperuricemia patients.
