Abstract

The total flavonoids in the fruit of Pyracantha fortuneana(Maxim.) Li were extracted by Soxhlet extraction method and determined by UV spectrophotometry with rutin as reference standard.The rutin had a good linear relationship in the concentration range of 5—30μg·mL-1,and the correlation coefficient was 0.9997 at 418nm.The method is simple and accurate with good reproducibility,and can be used to determine the content of total flavones in Pyracantha fortuneana(Maxim.)Li.
