Abstract
Dibutyl adipate was synthesized from adipic acid and n-butyl alcohol with silicotungstic heteropolyacid as catalyst. The effect of factors on esterification ratio was studied. The result showed that the best reaction condition was:based on 0.05 mol adipic acid, mole ratio of n-butyl alcohol to adipic acid was(2.6),mass of catalyst was 0.3 g,the taking water reagent was 15 mL,reaction time was 30 min.The yield of the product could reach over 99%.
