Abstract

The synthesis of dibuty adipate with butyl alcohol and adipic acid as reactants and sodium bisulfate as catalyst had been studied. The influent actors of reaction were investigated. The results showed that the appropriate conditions should be: weight of catalyst was 0.2g(weight of adipic acid was 50mmol); molar ratio of butyl alcohol to adipic acid was 3∶1; reaction time was 1.0h; the taking water reagent(toluene) was 5mL. The yield of dibutyl adipate was about 98.6%.
