Studying Chinese philosophy would grasp its characteristic rather than adopt the way of studying western philosophy in that the start point of western philosophy is being,while that of Chinese philosophy is human life;western philosophy advocates the separation of the subjective from the objective,while Chinese philosophy emphasize the unity between mankind and nature.Focusing on human life is the characteristic of Chinese philosophy.Chinese philosophy paid more attention to the philosophy of life,value philosophy,moral,political philosophy and society than nature philosophy,science philosophy and religion.The main function of Chinese philosophy is to guide life and to set value.Chinese philosophy was never attached to theology.
