Abstract
In the present research,the flavonoids in leaves of Polygonum multiflorum Thunb was extracted and its total antioxidant activities,superoxide anion,hydroxyl radical scavenging activities,scavenging DPPH radical and antioxidant activities on lipoprotein in yolk were determined and the results were compared with those of ascorbic acid(VC)and synthetic antioxidant,propyl gallate(PG).The results revealed clearly that the flavonoids in the leaves of P.multiflorum possess significant antioxidant activities on lipoprotein in yolk,and it was higher than those of VC and PG.Total antioxidant activities,superoxide anion and hydroxyl radical scavenging activities of the flavonoids were higher than PG and lower than VC.Hydroxyl radical scavenging was higher than VC and lower than PG.DPPH radical scavenging activities was a little lower than those of two antioxidants.
