The Therapeutic Effect of the N-Nitro-L-Arginine and Aminoguanidne on Hemorrhagic Shock

Abstract

Objective:To evaluate the therapeutic effect of the N-nitro-L-arginine(L-NNA) and aminoguanidine(AG) on hemorrhagic shock.Methods:Fourty rats were randomly divided into hemorrahagic shock group(n=10),L-NNA group(n=10),AG group(n=10) and control group(n=10).The plasma levels of endotoxin,TNF-α,IL-6,IL-8 and NO were detected before and after shock.The survival rates of 12 h,24 h and 48 h were observed.Results:The plasma levels of endotoxin,TNF-α,IL-6,IL-8 and NO were markedly higher after shock than those before shock and maintained at high level.Compared with shock group,lower plasma levels of endotoxin,TNF-α,IL-6,IL-8 and NO,higher survival rates were observed in both L-NNA group and AG group.There were no difference between L-NNA group and AG group.Conclusion:The endotoxin,TNF-α,IL-6,IL-8 and NO played an important role in the development of hemorrhagic shock.L-NNA and AG were used as selective inhibitors of nitrc oxide synthase could improve the prognosis of hemorrhagic shock.
