Observation and nursing of two different insulin injection ways for diabetic patients

Objective To compare the therapeutic effects of two different insulin injection ways(insulin pump therapy and multiple subcutaneous insulin injection therapy) on diabetic patients. Methods 32 diabetic patients were randomly divided into two groups: the insulin pump therapy group(n=16) and the multiple subcutaneous insulin injection therapy group(n=16).The dynamic blood sugar was monitored.The control days of blood sugar,total daily insulin dose,the frequency of low blood sugar,daybreak phenomena and local inflammation were compared between the two groups. Results The blood sugar level was more stable in the insulin pump therapy group than that in the multiple subcutaneous insulin injection therapy group.The control days of blood sugar were shorten significantly,total daily insulin dose were decreased significantly,the frequency of low blood sugar and daybreak phenomena reduced significantly in the insulin pump therapy group.But local inflammation was not significantly different between the two groups. Conclusion It is secure and convenient to treat diabetic patients with insulin pump,and insulin pump is an accurate and flexible insulin providing system.
