Abstract
A new catalytic kinetic spectrophotometric method for determination of trace copper(Ⅱ) based on catalytic effect of Cu(Ⅱ) on the chromogenic reaction resulted from the oxidation of guaiacol with ammonium persulfate in boric acid and sodium hydroxide buffer medium has been investigated. The linear range is 0~7 2μg/L,and detection limit is 48 6ng/L.This method has been used to determine copper (Ⅱ) in offscum of plumbean-zinc mine with satisfactory results.
