Abstract
Based on the discolouring reaction between potassium peroxysulfate and light green SF with the catalytic effect of copper(Ⅱ), a new catalytic spectrophotometric method for the determination of trace copper(Ⅱ) was established. The concentration range is 0 005~0 10μg/25mL; the detection limit is 6 4ng/mL. This method has been used for the determination of copper(Ⅱ) in natural water and ore samples, the results are satisfactory.
