Abstract

Objective To explore change of IL-1β in plasma in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)_induced acute lung injury(ALI),and influence of Ramipril on IL-1 β and ALI.Methods SD rats were injected LPS(6 mg/kg) by peritoneum cavity to make the model of ALI.84 SD rats were divided randomly into three groups:control group,LPS group and RAM group (n=28 each). After LPS injection 0,1,3 and 5 hours, detected the plasma concentration of IL-1β in rats by radioimmunoassay, observed the changes of rats of lung tissue in pathomorphology. Results Compared with the control group, the plasma concentration of IL-1β in the LPS group at the end of 1 hour elevated significantly (P0.01),and the observation of the pathomorphology in lung tissue showed that the injury at the end of different time points were serious gradually. The plasma concentration of IL-1β at the end of 1 hour was significantly lower in the RAM group than in the LPS group (P0.01),and the lung injury at the end of different time points were slight, too. Conclusions IL-1β plays critical role in the LPS_induced ALI and Ramipril has the effect on opposition to IL-1β and relieving significantly LPS_induced ALI.
