An Analysis of Cancer Incidence in Zhongshan City in 2010

[Purpose] To explore the cancer incidence in Zhongshan in 2010,to provide scientific information for control and prevention of Zhongshan.[Methods] The data of cancer incidence came from Zhongshan cancer registrywere collected and collated. The incident numbers,crude incidence,age-standardized rates by Chinese standard population(ASR China) and by world standard population(ASR world) were calculated and analyzed. [Results] The crude incidence rate,ASR China and ASR world were 227.30/105,153.05/105and 195.94/105in Zhongshan in 2010,whereas273.55/105,191.17/105and 248.53/105in male respectively,and 181.40/105,119.07/105and149.91/105in female respectively. The top 5 cancer types of cancer incidence in male were lung cancer,liver cancer,nasopharyngeal cancer,esophageal cancer and colon cancer,and in female were lung cancer,breast cancer,corpus uteri cancer,colon cancer and nasopharyngeal cancer respectively.[Conclusions] Cancer incidence in Zhongshan in 2010 is at the middle level. Nasopharyngeal and female corpus uteri cancer incidence is at high level,control and prevention in Zhongshan should be enhanced.
