Abstract

To evaluate the use of colur M_mode doppler echocardiography in assessing left ventricular diastolic function as a new noninvasive technique in children.Methods:Vp,EV,AV,P1/2t,and slope were measured by color M_mode doppler in 120 normal and 18 patients with dilated cardiomyopathy. Results:In normal subjects, the velocity of flow propagation was (36.74±6.06) cm/s.In dilated cardiomyopathy, the velocity was much lower than that in normal subjects. Conclusion:The velocity of left ventricular flow can be simply and accurately measured by M_mode color doppler in children.
