Abstract

Objective: To evaluate left ventricular diastolic function of left ventricular myocardiography hypertrophy(LVH) by color M-mode Doppler echocardiography. Methods: The velocity of flow propagation(Vp) and the propagation ratio CE velocity nelocity of flow propagation(E/Vp) were studied in 32 patients with LVH,including 10 with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy(HCM),22 with hypertensive heart disease(HHD),and 20 normal volunteers. Results: Compared with normal subjects, either E/A1 or E/A1,the Vp and E/Vp were abnormal in patients with left ventricular hypertrophy(P0.01).Conclusion: Color M-mode Doppler echocardiography is free from pseudonormalization, and is a reliable index to assess left ventricular diastolic function.
