Abstract
Salicylic acid, epichlorohydrin and N, N-diethyl ethanolamine were used as raw materials to synthesized a novel cationic surfactant. In agriculture, this surfactant could be adsorbed on seeds or the roots of seedlings using quaternary ammonium salt structure to play a role in promoting the growth of plants. The results in the paper showed that, the optimal reaction conditions were obtained at 75 ℃ for 24 h in acetonitrile, and the product was light yellow liquid. Moreover, FT-IR was used to characterize the characteristic groups in the product.
