Abstract
Salicylic acid was mainly used in improving plant growth and resistance to stress in the field of agriculture. But high salicylic acid concentration would produce some toxic effects on plants. In order to improve the salicylic acid role, reduce its harmful, salicylic acid and dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate were used to synthesize the novel quaternary ammonium salt at 50 ℃ for 12 h in the environment of acetonitrile. Through optimizing reaction conditions, the pale yellow liquid product was obtained with the yield of 82.7%. At FT-IR was used to characterize the compound, consistent with the target compound.
