Abstract
OBJECTIVE To establish a reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatographic method for the determination of astragaloside Ⅳ,which was known as the active constituent of Radix Astragali.METHOD Acetonitrile-water(30∶70) was used as the mobile phase on a Kromasil C 18 column. The detector was operated at 203 nm and carbamazepine was added as the internal standard.RESULTS The method was carried out over the range of 0.1~1.0 mg·mL -1 for astragaloside Ⅳ.The recoveries(%) were 82.1,85.4 and 88.4 with the RSD 2.88,1.31 and 2.67 for three concentrations, respectively.CONCLUSION The method had good accuracy and repeatability and it can be use for the quality control of Radix Astragali.
