Abstract

Objective To explore the expression of BDNF mRNA and high-affinity receptors TrkB mRNA in hippocampus and thalamus of the post stroke depression rat model. Methods Focal cerebral ischemic rat models were made with thread embolization method.Post stroke depression rat models were established with comprehensive separately breeding and moderate unpredictable stress on this basis.RT-PCR was employed to detect gene expression of BDNF and TrkB in the hippocampus and thalamus. Results RT-PCR results showed that compared with normal control rats, the gene expression of BDNF and TrkB mRNA in the hippocampus decreased significantly in PSD group(all P0.05).Whereas there was no statistical difference compared with other groups(all P0.05).Conclusion The expression of BDNF probably play an important role in the development of PSD.
