Abstract

Compared the extraction effects of yellow pigment from the Gladious by pure ethanol, chloroform, acetone, ather, petroleum benzene, the result indicated that acetone was the optimum solvent. The maximum absorption wavelength (Xmax) of the acetone solution was 345 nm.The ratio of the solvent to the Gladious and extraction time could have a greater impact on extraction of the pigment than the extraction temperature and the pH of the solvent. The best condition:fifteen times of volume of extraction reagent as large as the weight of Gladious and extraction at 55℃ for 4 hours.
