Abstract

Objective:To evaluate the impact of nifedipine gastrointestinal therapeutic system(GITS) on myocardium fibrosis and left ventricular diastolic function in hypertension patients.Methods:Seventy\|one patients with essential hypertension consecutively collected were divided into accompanied with left ventricular hypertrophy(LVH,groupⅠ) and without that(groupⅡ) according LVMI.Patients of 2 groups received treatment of nifedipine GITS for three months. Before and after treatment Doppler echocardiogram and radioimmunology analyses were performed.Results:(1)After treatment, patients of 2 groups:Blood pressure(BP) decreased;peak A,peak A/E decreased and peak E increased;(2)GroupⅠ:LVMI significantly decreased;type Ⅰ procollagen(PCⅠ),type Ⅲ procollagen(PCⅢ),hyaluronic acid(HA) and lamin(LN) decreased;(3)Group Ⅱ:PC Ⅲ,HA and LN decreased except PC.Conclusion:(1)BP of most patients with mild\|middle\|extent hypertension can be controlled;(2)LVH can be elapsed and left ventricular diastolic function mat be ameliorated;(3)Myocardium fibrosis can be prevented by nifedipine GIS.
