INVESTIGATION ON THE MISSING REPORT OF NOTIFIABLE INFECTIOUS DISEASES IN YICHANG CITY

[Objective]To understand the status and reasons of missing report of notifiable infectious diseases,and to provide theoretical bases for control and prevention of infectious diseases.[Methods]Self-examination was conducted in 29 network reporting units,while a field investigation was conducted in 13 medical institutions in urban area selected by random sampling method.[Results]The missing report rate of notifiable infectious diseases in medical institutions was 10.63%.The situation of private hospitals was the most severe,and the missing rate was 50.77%.[Conclusion]The work of reporting the epidemic situation is weak in private hospitals and town hospitals at present.So it is especially important to strengthen the supervision and management of medical institutions,regular instruction and inspection on technology,and further improve the quality of network reporting of notifiable infectious diseases in Yichang.
