Quality Analysis on Medical Institutions' Reports of Notifiable Infectious Diseases in Dabu County in 2007

Objective The article's objective is to demonstrate how the reporting system of notifiable infectious diseases functions in Dabu County and to help sum up its management experiences in reporting notifiable infectious diseases,in order to provide some scientific references for health administrative departments to formulate preventive and control measures for infectious diseases and assessment programs for medical institutions.Methods It analyses the quality of epidemic individual cases reported by medical institutions in Dabu County in 2007,based on Direct Reports and Technical Manual of Information Network for Monitoring Infectious Diseases and Regulations on Reporting Infectious Diseases.Furthermore,it investigates whether medical institutions miss reports of notifiable infectious diseases on the basis of National Investigation Program for Missing Reports of Notifiable Infectious Diseases.Results Its results of investigations indicate that the medical institutions in Dabu County reported notifiable infectious diseases 96.73% in time,90.28% completely,96.45% accurately and missed 11.39% in 2007.Conclusion It concludes that the medical institutions in Dabu county do not present reports of epidemic situations in a regular quality and miss reporting very often.Therefore,it must be strengthened to assess medical institutions and train their workers.
