Abstract

An imidazoline cationic surfactant was prepared from oleic acid, N-- (2--hydroxyethyl)ethylene diamine and chloroethanol via amidation, cyclization and quarternarization. Its surface tension,c. m. c,foaming capability etc, were measured. Synthetic medium and product structure were discussed.
