On the Morality-building-oriented Citizen's Moral Responsibility of College Students

The connotation,social functions and internalization of college student's citizen moral responsibility are discussed under the theme of building a harmonious society.Firstly,based on the analysis of dissertations of ethics in China and the West,it is pointed out that college students must realize that a comprehensive understanding of freedom is an integral part to comprehend the conception of citizen moral responsibility.Secondly,the citizen's moral responsibility is defined and the social functions of citizen's moral responsibility as a tool to safeguard a harmonious and steady society,how to drive citizens to practice their moral behaviors,and how to restrict and standardize their daily moral conducts are analyzed.Finally,it is shown that the internalization of citizen's moral responsibility is to rebuild its structure in three aspects,namely,cognizance,sensibility and volition of conscience.The contents are characterized by loving Motherland,adhering to laws and regulations,being ceremonial,honest,diligent and thrifty,keeping promises and contributory to society and reflect the experience of citizens when they practice their moral conducts.And fairness and justice are the final goal for rebuilding moral responsibility.
