Observation of kidney-nourishing therapy of acupuncture combined with Traditional Chinese medicine therapy on osteoarthritis of knee joint

Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of kidney-nourishing therapy of acupuncture combined with Traditional Chinese medicine therapy on the treatment of osteoarthritis of knee joint.Methods 320 patients with osteoarthritis of knee joint were randomly divided into two groups.160 cases in control group received kidney-nourishing therapy of acupuncture.160 cases in treatment group received kidney-nourishing therapy of acupuncture combined with Traditional Chinese medicine therapy.The course was a month in two groups.VAS was observed before and after treatment.Results VAS after treatment was decreased as compared with that before treatment in two groups(P0.05).VAS in treatment group was lower than that in control group(P0.05).The total effective rate in treatment group(87.50%) was higher than that in control group(55.63%,P0.05).Conclusion Kidney-nourishing therapy of acupuncture combined with Traditional Chinese medicine therapy has definite effect on osteoarthritis of knee joint.
