Clinical Observation on the Three-step Therapy of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine in the Treatment of Knee Osteoarthritis

Abstract

Objective:To investigate the efficacy of three-step therapy of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine for knee osteoarthritis.Methods: Ninety cases of patients with knee osteoarthritis were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,who were respectively given three-step acupuncture plus Chinese herbs therapy and oral voltaren sustained-release tablets.Results:There was obviously better effectiveness in the treatment group than in the control group.Conclusion:The three-step therapy of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine can be an effective treatment for knee osteoarthritis.
