The Modern Characteristics in WEN Yi-duo's Early Poems

Abstract

WEN Yiduo is a Chinese famous contemporary poet, in whose early poems distinct modern characteristics are found. WEN put forward the rulesandforms theory of modern poetry which shows a strong disagreement to the theory given by school of free poets. WEN also composed a group of new poems that are united both in form and content which are regarded as model poems. In addition, the trace of transition for the birth of new poems can be available in WEN's poems and theories.
