Abstract
YU Jian-wu is a poet in the Liang dynasty.His attainment in literature is high and his literary talent draws attention from his contemporaries and later generations.His poems include poems in reply,poems depicting women,poems of sorrow over separation by war,poems about objects,and poems propagating Buddhism.Most of such poems mainly depict temperaments.They were written in ornate language and in graceful rhythms with fine sentiments,playing a part in pushing forward the new change in poem writing.
